We value your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how FramoGo ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the FramoGo mobile application (the "App"). Please read it carefully.
FramoGo is a companion app for compatible camera devices. Its core functions are connecting to your camera over Wi‑Fi, live preview, file browsing/download, and device settings. The App does not require you to create an account, and we do not provide personalized advertising or marketing based on your data. Media transfer between your phone and the camera generally stays on the local Wi‑Fi network. Except for the voluntary Problem Feedback flow described below, we do not upload your photos or videos from your phone to our servers.
If you are considered a minor under the laws of your jurisdiction, please review this Policy with a parent or legal guardian and use the App only with their consent.
You can jump to the sections below:
Depending on how you use the App, we may process the categories of information described below. We do not collect everything listed here by default; collection is limited to what is needed for the feature you are using.
You may choose to submit information through Settings → Problem Feedback (or when you contact us by other means). In that case, we may collect:
Providing an email address or phone number is optional. You can submit feedback without leaving contact details; if you do leave them, we use them only to reply about your issue.
To discover, connect to, and communicate with your camera over Wi‑Fi, the App may process information such as: mobile device model and OS version; Wi‑Fi network details (for example SSID/BSSID and gateway information); approximate or precise location only where required by the Android system to scan or read Wi‑Fi information; and local network addresses needed for device communication. Location is used for Wi‑Fi connection to the camera, not for continuous tracking or advertising.
When you connect a camera, the App may read device model, firmware version, device status, file lists, and photo/video files from the camera for in-app display, preview, and file management. This communication typically occurs on the local network between your phone and the camera and is not uploaded to our servers unless you voluntarily include related technical details in a Problem Feedback submission with attached logs.
The App may store configuration preferences, connection history, download records, and caches on your device (for example via local storage or databases). This data remains on your device unless you choose to include diagnostic information in a Problem Feedback submission.
We use the information described above for the following purposes:
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use feedback contact details (including email addresses) for advertising, marketing lists, or user profiling.
The App requests system permissions only when needed for a feature, for example:
The App uses common open-source libraries for image loading, video playback, local storage, networking with the camera, and similar functions (for example Glide, GSYVideoPlayer, MMKV, Room, OkHttp/Retrofit, Netty, Gson, FFmpeg). These libraries generally process data on your device or for local camera communication. Except for a Problem Feedback upload that you initiate, they are not used by us to upload your personal photos or videos to our servers.
This section describes the voluntary support feature that may involve an email address and other contact information.
When collected: Only when you open Problem Feedback, fill in the form, and tap submit. If you never use this feature, we do not collect feedback content or contact details through this channel.
What may be collected:
How it is sent: When you submit, the App uploads the feedback package to servers operated by us (currently located in the People's Republic of China) over the internet. You need a working internet connection for submission.
Purpose: Customer support and troubleshooting only — for example, to understand your issue and, if you provided an email address or phone number, to contact you about the result.
Your choices:
You can review or revoke App permissions in your device settings: Settings → Apps → FramoGo → Permissions. Withdrawing a permission may limit related features.
You can clear the App cache or uninstall the App to remove local data stored by FramoGo on your device (downloaded files, caches, local records, etc.).
If you submitted Problem Feedback (including an email address or other contact details) and want us to delete that submitted information from our servers, contact us using the details in Section 9. We will handle requests within a reasonable time, subject to applicable law.
The App does not require account registration. There is no in-app account to delete. If we later offer optional account features, we will update this Policy and provide cancellation instructions at that time.
We do not sell personal information. We share information only in limited cases, such as:
If you use a third-party service outside FramoGo and provide information directly to that third party, that party's privacy policy applies.
On your device: Photos/videos you download, connection records, and similar data are stored primarily on your device.
On our servers: Problem Feedback submissions (including any email address or phone number you provide, and optional logs) are stored on our servers in the People's Republic of China for as long as reasonably needed to provide support and as required by law. We then delete or anonymize the data when it is no longer needed, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
If you use the App outside China, submitting Problem Feedback means the information you provide may be transferred to and processed in China for support purposes.
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; please use the App and network environments carefully.
If a personal data incident occurs that requires notice under applicable law, we will take appropriate steps and notify you and/or regulators as required, which may include in-app notice, email, or other reasonable means.
The App is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children for marketing purposes. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us through Problem Feedback or otherwise, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps, including deletion where required.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the App (for example, a notice or updated consent flow) or other appropriate means. The "Effective Date" and update history below will also be revised. Continued use of the App after an update means you acknowledge the revised Policy, to the extent permitted by law.
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy, want to exercise privacy rights available to you, or need to request deletion of Problem Feedback data (including an email address you submitted), please contact us:
We will respond within a reasonable time after receiving your request.
This Policy is effective from July 16, 2026.
